ABOUT US
The Story So Far
We are a wheelchair rugby club affiliated to and operating in the Dragon’s Rugby region. Our provision is supported by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) Dragons Rugby and our National governing body Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) and we are exceptionally grateful for all the support we receive.
The club started as an initial trial project in February 2019 and we are delighted that it has grown rapidly since, to become a club that provides physical exercise opportunities, support with emotional wellbeing and socialising opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities and their families. We now have 15 individuals with various disabilities attending training and we are looking to grow our provision continually, to offer more individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in Wheelchair Rugby and become part of our Dragons Wheelchair Rugby Family.
We participate in two (GBWR) leagues to provide competitive opportunities for our members and to continue the growth of our club.
